The children entered the house and smashed the cages. The woman found the bodies and entwined them. The birds did not return.

When we read the story, we wouldn't say whether it's sad or happy. For me this news talk about freedom, carelessness, naivety. I wanted to interpret the story in a poetic way, a bit like a dream. As if it were seen by a child. So I used a lot of colors, simple shapes and created a carefree world. I made sure that we didn’t see the woman, from my point of view, it would bring something negative..
